Touch Your Toes Again! With YOGA

It is the wellness revolution. There is no better time than the present to embark on a journey of living life to it’s maximum potential. More and more of North American society is realizing that the Western Medical Approach to health isn't helping them live better quality lives. On the contrary rates of Heart Disease, Cancer, High Blood Pressure, Diabetes, and Auto-Immunes conditions have gone up exponentially and continue to.

We are turning to the days of old when food was simple and unprocessed; when the medication was good to sleep, proper nutrition, decreased stress, massage therapy, acupuncture and herbs and root teas. The past 100 years of research on old world therapies yield tremendously positive results for the majority of diseases and ailments that afflict North Americans. From India's work with Laughter and Aloe Vera, and the Chinese with Ginseng and Green Tea to South America's promotion of Cacao and Yerba Mate, the answer to good health has always been simple. You cannot heal selectively.

"Modern Medicine" with the help of big pharma has spent decades and billions of dollars developing drugs that selectively target a disorder or area of health. Here's why they fail. YOU CANNOT HEAL SELECTIVELY. TRUE HEALTHY HABITS CURE MANY DISEASES AND HEALTH ISSUES. Vitamin E is good for more than a dozen illnesses from Cancer to skin disorders to inner ear problems. Vitamin C has it's finger in hundreds of health cure cookie jars. Sleep is more than a thing animals do, it has an effect on the function of every cell in our body.

YOGA has been around for thousands of years. It is a custom of Indian traditional healing practice as Tai Chi or Chi Gong is in Chinese Culture.

Here are the benefits of YOGA. Is there any drug that does all of this?

  • Decreases Stress and Anxiety
  • Aids the body in regulating blood pressure
  • Promotes healthy joint and muscle function
  • Limits the bodies chances of being injured
  • Promotes restful sleep
  • Increases alertness
  • Increases Proprioception (The bodies awareness in space)
  • Ensures proper core function
  • Increases immune function
  • Detoxifies the Body (Especially Bikram Yoga which is done at high temperature)
  • Massages internal organs improving their function
  • Increases lung capacity and function
  • Improves Posture
  • Encourages healthy, elastic and glowing skin (keeps you looking young!)

So jump online and find the closest studio to you and give yoga a try. I recommend trying a few of classes at different studios and find a style that suits you. I'm partial to Bikram Yoga because it encourages intense detoxification, muscle and joint stretching and water intake.
